Chaeng: I still couldn't believe I'm doing this.

**Chaeng said while tying her shoelace, and Jeongyeon standing behind her, leaning at the wall.**

Jeong: What can I do? You lose. It's fate, you know.

**Chaeng stood up and faced Jeong.**

Chaeng: Don't blame it on fate 'cause it's not. You guys manipulated it.

Jeong: We didn't manipulate anything. It's a fair game. You had the biggest chance to win, yet you lose.

Chaeng: I got distracted.

**She whispered.**

Jeong: Not my problem, kid. That's what you now called fate.

Chaeng: But your rules, whatever the result is, I still need to spend a day with her.

**Jeong laughed.**

Jeong: Again, not my fault if you didn't notice it.

**Still laughing.**

Jeong: Stop whining, okay? I'm sure you'll thank us one day.

**Chaeng surrendered. She just hopes she'll be able to act normal later.**

Chaeng: Anyway, do you think they know already? I mean, everyone?

Jeong: I don't think so. But eventually, they'll notice it sooner or later.

**Chaeng sighed. Eventually. She thought.**

Chaeng: What shall I do then?

Jeong: I'm telling this to you again. Just be yourself. No one's gonna judge you here.

Mina: Sorry! My bag slipped from my grip, and something spilled on the floor.

Chaeng: That's fine. I just finished tying my shoelace.

**Chaeng smiled. She wanted to assure Mina that it's okay with her. That she didn't need to worry about it.**

**Mina smiled back, which sent butterflies into Chaeng's stomach.**

**Jeong realized she's no longer needed here, so she stood up straight, readied herself to say goodbye.**

Jeong: Okay! I'll leave you two alone now. Enjoy your day, okay?

**Then the two exited the door.**

*****

Chaeng: So... where do you want to eat?

Mina: Hmm...

**She hesitated.**

Mina: You know this new Japanese Resto at the end of this street?

Chaeng: Oh, yeah! The one with a big sign on it?

Mina: Yeah! That's it! It just opened last week. I wonder if they have a good katsu there.

**Chaeng thought about it for a second. Does she have enough money for that place?**

**It looks fancy though. She thought.**

**It's okay Chaeng. Let's just spend what Momo sent us yesterday. Besides, you'll get your paycheck this week. She tried to convince herself.**

Chaeng: You miss Japanese food, huh?

Mina: I miss home.

**She suddenly stopped.**

**It's not the right time to be emotional. Not in front of Chaeng. Not now. Mina told herself.**

**That answer convinced Chaeng more to spend all her money on that fancy Japanese Restaurant.**

Mina: Anyway, the weather is nice. Don't you think? Good for a walk, right?

Chaeng: Hmm... I noticed that, too. Do you want to walk after we eat?

**Oops! Chaeng abruptly realized her aggressiveness. What if Mina has something else to do? She asked herself.**

**But instead of finding it aggressive, it even sent a smile to Mina's heart.**

Chaeng: Sorry! Sorry! That might sound a little pushy. You might have something important to do later.

Mina: No! It's not. I mean, I have nothing to do at the apartment. But, are you sure you don't have anything to do today? School project, maybe?

**Chaeng shook her head furiously.**

Chaeng: Tzuyu and I worked on our homework the other day, and I don't have a schedule today. Which makes me free from morning till the day ends.

**Mina pressed her lips and smiled. Loving everything she's hearing from Chaeng.**

Mina: Okay. Then let's have a walk later.

*****

Chaeng: This is it, right?

Mina: Yeah, this is it. Oh...

**Mina stopped after seeing the price of each meal on the menu displayed at the entrance.**

**She grabbed Chaeng's arm and pulled her in the opposite direction.**

Chaeng: Wait! Why? I thought you want to try their katsu there?

Mina: Forget it! Let's try something else.

**Even though Chaeng also got surprised with what she saw in the menu, she's still determined to pay for it. It's the last thing she could give to Mina for missing her home. She thought.**

Chaeng: No! We're not. It's fine. Totally fine.

Mina: But it's too expensive. I will only go for it if you'll agree to split the bill.

Chaeng: No! No splitting of bills. you won last night, and that's our deal.

Mina: But...

**She lowered her voice.**

Mina: But it's too much.

**Although Chaeng is furiously calculating each meal on her head, she still insisted.**

Chaeng: Okay, here's the deal, if you really feel guilty about this, why not treat me something when you get your paycheck.

**The deal wasn't bad. Miina thought. That will give her a chance to know Chaeyoung more, right?**

Mina: You got me there! Fine! Deal!

**Chaeyoung squished her eyes, which made Mina's heart flutter even more.**

**She's so cute. Mina thought.**

Chaeng: Alright! Let's go!

**The waitress gave them a good spot to seat in. Maybe because there's still a lot of unoccupied space.**

**Or maybe because she knew them.**

Chaeng: Well, I don't regret coming in. It feels so cozy, you know. And the food... it's great, too. Worth it, I must say.

**Mina giggled.**

Chaeng: Ah... Why? Did I say something funny?

**Mina waved her hand, still smiling.**

Mina: No! No! I just realized, it's our first time to talk like this. It's either you're busy with school or you have training schedules, which we both know we don't have the same time. And another thing, I always thought you don't like me.

**Chaeyoung gasp for air. So this is what they're talking about? She really thought I don't like her? She thought.**

**If you only knew how much you make my heart flutters whenever we're in the same room, you might stay away from me. She wants to say.**

**She laughed nervously, which cause her throat to get dry.**

Chaeng: I don't have a reason not to like you. I mean, you did nothing wrong to me to dislike you.

**And you're too pretty to receive hate. Chaeng wants to blurt out.**

Mina: Right!

**She whispered, then pulled an awkward smile.**

Mina: Then why aren't you talking to me just like how you talk to others?

**Shit! I didn't know she's so straightforward. Then Chaeng felt her face get warm.**

Chaeng: Hmm... that?

**She's trying her best to calm herself down first before she says something again.**

Chaeng: You don't talk that much. I don't know how to approach you.

**But I'm dying to talk to you. She wants to add.**

**That made Mina reflect for a moment. She needs to change or Chaeng won't find her interesting.**
