Somi: Where are you, Chaeyoung?

**Somi whispered beside Chaeng.**

**They were sitting side by side on the couch of their favorite coffee shop.**

Chaeng: What?

Somi: I knew it. Something's bothering you.

**She turned and leaned her side to the backrest and look straight into Chaeng's eyes.**

Somi: What is it? You know you could tell me everything, right?

**She said softly.**

**Chaeng gulped, battling if she'll tell Somi about Mina. If she will, Somi might change how she treats her. But if not, they might always end up like this, sitting next to each other, and it means hurting her lover, too.**

Somi: Did Dahyun say something earlier that made you change your mood?

**No! Dahyun has nothing to do with this. She wants to blurt out.**

Chaeng: No. No. I mean, I just remembered something.

Somi: What's that?

Chaeng: Something about my quiz last week. I still wonder what's the answer to question number seven. I guess I need to study it tonight. You know, in case I'll encounter it again in our finals.

**This is lame, and I know she'll not buy it. She's smart enough to get it. That it's not about my quiz. That there's something else.**

Chaeng: Sorry. Hmm... Why don't we continue this some other time?

**Somi resigned. She didn't press anymore 'cause she knows, if Chaeng wants to tell her something, she will.**

Somi: Okay. Maybe just call me when you're ready to talk without lame excuses?

**She tried to smile although it hurts her that Chaeng was hiding something from her. But she knows it's not Chaeng's obligation to tell her everything.**

**Chaeng chuckled. She's right. Somi knows better.**

Somi: Let me drive you home. Don't say no, okay? That will really hurt me if you'll do.

Chaeng: All right!

Tzuyu: Chaeyoung!

**Tzuyu called right after Somi's car accelerated away. All five of them, Tzuyu, Sana, Dahyun, Momo, and Mina were on their way towards Chaeng.**

Chaeng: Where did you go?

Momo: Convenience store. We had ice cream and buns.

**Mina wasn't looking as if there's no Chaeyoung existing in front of her.**

Sana: So, where did you and Somi went?

**Chaeng tried to hide the tension she's feeling at the moment. She covered it with a chuckle, yet Dahyun could sense the nervousness in it.**

Chaeng: We just had a coffee, and a short catching up.

**Mina didn't say a word. Uninterested in her lover's continued to walk towards the stairs without waiting for the others.**

**Chaeng followed her with her eyes. It's the first time she felt so afraid in her life. It's like a life and death situation that she doesn't know what to do.**

**Tzuyu leaned closer to Chaeng's ear, and whispered.**

Tzuyu: I think someone's in trouble.

**Then she chuckled before she, Sana, and Momo followed Mina at the stairs.**

**Dahyun didn't say anything, she just tapped Chaeng's shoulder several times, and then shook her head.**

Chaeng: Bro!

**She called after Dahyun turned her back on her.**

Dahyun: Yeah?

**Chaeng sighed and paused.**

Dahyun: You want to know if she's mad? Don't you?

Chaeng: I know she is.

**Her voice was almost inaudible.**

Dahyun: What's in your head when you said you're not seeing anyone? I'm just curious, you know.

**Chaeng didn't dare to answer Dahyun's question, but she thinks she doesn't have a choice.**

Dahyun: Wait! You don't have to answer that. Maybe reserve that thing for Mina, since she's the one who feels stupid here.

Chaeng: I'm the worst, am I? I don't know what's going on with me.

Dahyun: I guess you better sort yourself sooner or you'll lose everything.

**Chaeng stayed quiet, yet Dahyun didn't move to leave her. She still thinks her best friend needs her right now.**

Dahyun: Tell me that truth. You still like her, don't you?

**It took Chaeng several seconds before she answered.**

Chaeng: I actually don't know. I haven't thought about her lately.

Dahyun: But when you saw her earlier, it just refreshed everything, right?

**Dahyun sighed, and walked closer to her.**

Dahyun: It's been ages, Chaeng. Will you ever choose to lose Mina because of something that didn't even happen between you and Somi?

Chaeng: But Somi is a friend. She's my friend.

Dahyun: But you used to have a thing for her, and she has it, too for you. And the way she clings on you is still the same. What do you think Mina will feel? Or let's put it this way, what will you feel if Mina also has a Somi in her life? Will you be okay with it?

Chaeng: No.

**She answered immediately, yet her voice was still weak.**

Chaeng: No! I won't be okay with it.

Dahyun: See! I'm not saying you have to stay away from Somi. What I'm saying is, let her know, so she'll know where to place herself.

**Dahyun sighed. She doesn't want to worsen Chaeng's feelings, but she wants her to see what she needs to see.**

Dahyun: You still love the attention, don't you?

**Chaeng lifted her head, embarrassed with Dahyun's reference.**

Dahyun: I guess that's the reason there are lots of cheaters in this world, attention is drowning. Who wouldn't say no to that, right?

**Dahyun smiled, trying her best to lighten up the mood, though she also wanted to show the worst to her best friend.**

Dahyun: Better talk to Mina now. She needs it, okay?

**Then Dahyun walked towards the stairs, yet Chaeng didn't move from where she was standing—under the lamp post.**

**Chaeng doesn't have the courage to talk to Mina face-to-face, so she just dialed her number and called her, still standing outside the dorm.**

Chaeng: Hey!

Mina: Hmm...

Chaeng: Can we talk?

**Mina didn't answer. She doesn't know if she's ready to talk or what. She wants to hear Chaeng's alibi, but she's also worried that she might say something that will make this situation worst.**

Mina: Talk about what?

**She could hear her voice cracking.**

Chaeng: You know, about earlier. I... I just want to say sorry. I know, it's not enough.

**Mina still didn't answer immediately.**

Chaeng: Can I wait for you here? Outside?

**Still no response from Mina from the other line.**

Chaeng: Or maybe not?

Mina: Okay I'll go downstairs.

**Her voice was flat. No emotion in between words.**

**Maybe I'll hear something sensible from you.  Mina wants to say, but kept it to herself, instead.**

**Chaeng waited for Mina and it feels ages to stand there, outside. What makes it worst is the emotions she's having inside. She's scared and nervous at the same time. How will she say it, and how will Mina react?**

Mina: Hi!

**Mina said, still a few feet away from Chaeng. Not wanting to be near her.**

Chaeng: Hi!
