**Chaeyoung ran as fast as she could, hoping she'll catch their van at the parking lot. She's already five minutes late, and if the van left already, she has no choice but to take the bus going home.**
**She dug in her backpack while running, hoping she could find her phone immediately so she could call Dahyun to tell her to wait for her.**
Chaeng: Bro! Are you still at the parking?
**Talking over the phone while panting and running.**
Dahyun: Yeah! Why?
Chaeng: Nice!
**She slowed down as soon as Dahyun confirmed that they're still in the parking.**
Chaeng: Can you wait for me? I'm going home, too.
Dahyun: Oh! I thought you have a group project today?
Chaeng: Yeah! But our leader decided to distribute the task instead, and just asked us to submit it first thing tomorrow morning.
Dahyun: Good! Don't worry Tzuyu and I just arrived here. We'll wait for you.
Chaeng: Thanks, bro!
**Then they hung up.**
*****
Tzuyu: What to eat now?
**Tzuyu asked as soon as the van moved to exit their school parking.**
Chaeng: Can we just have take-outs? I need to finish my paper today. I have training tomorrow.
Dahyun: Is that for our rap class?
Chaeng: Yeah! It's at four, right?
Dahyun: Yeah! But we need to go there earlier, you know how strict our new trainer is.
**Chaeyoung plopped at her seat and hang her head at the backrest.**
Chaeng: I know, that's why I need to finish my paper tonight. So I won't think about it when we're already in the training tomorrow or else I'll lose my focus.
Dahyun: Don't worry you'll finish it on time. It's still early.
Tzuyu: So, what should we take out?
Chaeng: I'll have one jjajangmyeon, and two kimbap, and one omurice.
Tzuyu: Whoa! Super hungry?
Dahyun: I bet it's not only for her.
**Dahyun said while searching for the number of the restaurant they'll call to order their food.**
Tzuyu: Oh! So you're acting as girlfriend now?
Chaeng: Oh—no! It's not like that. I just thought maybe she hasn't eaten anything yet. You know her when she's home. She just stays in her room. Skipping her meals most of the time.
Dahyun: Hmm... several days ago you care less about her. Now that you just went out with her yesterday, it's like you already know everything she's doing.
**Tzuyu turned her head towards Chaeyoung and smirked.**
Tzuyu: Seems like something happened yesterday, huh? Care to tell us?
**Tzuyu is really eager to know everything that happened between Mina and Chaeyoung yesterday. Until now she's not giving up.**
**Chaeng tried her best to stay calm and keep her deadpan expression before she shrugged.**
Chaeng: We just talked. Seriously. It's just I'm more relaxed now than before. Is it bad?
**Dahyun is now busy talking to the restaurant receptionist, giving their orders so it will be ready by the time they arrived there.**
**Tzuyu pouted and shook her head once.**
Tzuyu: Fine! I guess I'll just support you with that.
**Chaeng sighed.**
Tzuyu: Well, I'm just saying. If one day you'll cry because of that, we're just here, okay?
Dahyun: Whoa! Whoa! Why are we in that situation already? I have faith in Mina. I don't think she's the type of girl who'll make someone cry.
**Tzuyu nodded.**
Tzuyu: Well, I think so, too. It's just, we still don't know what will happen with this. We're idols, and this won't be an easy thing for them. Do you know what I mean?
**Shit! Are they now overthinking about this thing? Why are they already at the moment of me or Mina getting hurt?**
Dahyun: Hmm... I get it. But is it better to try it first, before giving up? Shall we? Maybe let's just try our best to protect everyone while doing the things that will make us happy?
Chaeng: Hey guys! Can we just slow down? It's not like we'll go for it sooner, okay?
Tzuyu: But isn't it better to talk about it sooner than we regret something later?
Chaeng: I get the point, but the thing is, Mina and I aren't even talking about it yet. I mean, we just started to break the ice between us yesterday.
**Dahyun nodded.**
Dahyun: She's right, Tzuyu. Let's just relax for now. I'm starving, maybe it's better to resolve that first before anything else.
Tzuyu: Fine! I'm starving, too.
*****
**Chaeyoung went straight to the dining room with her backpack still dangling in her left shoulder.**
**She's starving, but she thinks more about Mina rather than her growling stomach.**
**She hasn't taken her lunch yet. She thought. So she threw her backpack at one of the seats and prepared the food she ordered as fast as she could.**
**Then instead of knocking on Mina's room, she decided to dial her number to invite her to the dining.**
Chaeng: Hello?
Mina: Hmm... Are you doing your project now?
Chaeng: Oh! No! I'm here in the dining, can you come? I bought something. Let's eat!
Mina: What? What are you doing there? I thought you have a project to finish today.
Chaeng: Hmm... Yeah! But we decided to just divide the topics and work on our own. So, I'll start working on that after we eat.
**Mina giggled.**
Chaeng: Why?
Mina: I think you're here because you miss me already.
**Chaeyoung squinted and smiled. Imagining Mina's stare and gummy smile.**
Dahyun: Why don't we eat in the living room, Tzuyu? I think I want to watch something while having our lunch.
**Dahyun said teasingly.**
**Chaeng got distracted and embarrassed at the same time.**
Mina: Is that Dahyun?
Chaeng: Ah! Yeah! I'm with her and Tzuyu, here at the dining.
**Tzuyu stood up and leaned closer to Chaeng so she could speak to Mina.**
Tzuyu: We're leaving now Minari! You have to come here and join Chaeyoung to eat her omurice.
**Chaeng instantly felt her face burn. She's blushing. And she just now realized that having best friends is like inviting a storm into your life. They bring disaster.**
**Then the two laughed when they saw how Chaeng's face turned red with all their comments.**
**Chaeng shooed them before she spoke to Mina again.**
Chaeng: Can you come now while the food is still hot?
Mina: Since you have my favorite omurice, I won't say no to that.
Chaeng: So, if I don't have your favorite omurice you won't say yes?
Mina: Hmm... I think even if there's only Chaeyoung there, I'll still say yes. She's my new favorite now.
