**Chaeng went to the kitchen to find something to eat. Well, not because she's hungry, but because she needs to stay awake until eleven. She and Mina will meet in the living room to talk about some stuff. **

**Then she found Nayeon sitting at the nook with a cup and spoon in her hand.**

Nayeon: Ice cream?

**Then she pushed the bucket of ice cream sitting in front of her towards Chaeng.**

Chaeng: What's this? Cookies 'n Cream?

Nayeon: Nah! I finished that one already.

Chaeng: Whaaaaat? ALone?

**Chaeng asked while pulling a cup in the cupboard.**

Nayeon: Yeah! You know how much I love that one.

Chaeng: Then what's this?

Nayeon: Coffee crumble. I like this one, too.

Chaeng: I think I need this. I should keep myself awake until midnight.

Nayeon: Why? Another school project?

**She hesitated to answer Nayeon's question because it would mean lying to her. But then realized that one lie won't hurt anyone.**

Chaeng: Hmm... yeah!

**She answered as she scoops from the bucket.**

Chaeng: So... why are you alone here?

Nayeon: Jeong's sleepy already. She's in her room dozing off.

**Chaeng nodded, then remembered what she saw earlier between Jeongyeon and Dahyun. Now, she feels guilty for seeing that.**

Chaeng: What's going on between you? I mean...

**She sat beside Nayeon. Thinking it's better to hide her expression from her.**

Nayeon: What do you mean what's going on?

Chaeng: I mean...

**Well, she doesn't really know what she meant. She hoped she didn't start the conversation or ask a question that will trigger her to say something about what she saw at the grill.**

Chaeng: Are you two still going out?

Nayeon: Hmm... it's kind of strange, you know.

**Then Chaeng heard Nayeon sigh heavily.**

**Shit! What's this? Is she going to say something about their relationship now? Chaeng thought. But she pretended that she's busy scooping her ice cream, and doesn't know anything.**

**Nayeon whirled to face her, then let down the cup on the table.**

Nayeon: I think... I think there's someone else.

**Chaeng choked at the words she heard from Nayeon.**

Chaeng: What makes you think she has someone else?

**She kept her attention to her almost done cup.**

**Nayeon whirled again to hide her frustration to Chaeng, then sighed again.**

Nayeon: I don't know. I guess I just feel it. Instinct? Maybe?

**Chaeng nodded once.**

Chaeng: Why don't you... I mean, why don't you ask her? At least that would answer all your worries, right?

Nayeon: What if she says she has a new one?

Chaeng: That's shit!

Nayeon: I know.

Chaeng: But... are you willing to let go?

**Nayeon didn't answer. Instead, she put another scoop of ice cream in her cup.**

**Chaeng didn't press anymore. She doesn't need to hear anything about it. Maybe, what Nayeon needs at this moment is just someone who will be there to accompany her, and Chaeng is so willing to give it to her.**

**It's still fifteen minutes before eleven, but Chaeng's already in the living room lying on the couch, waiting.**

Mina: Eh! What time were you here?

**Chaeng flinched when she heard Mina spoke.**

Mina: I told you to send me a message when you're all set.

**Chaeng sat up immediately and signaled Mina to sit beside her.**

**Mina walked towards Chaeng and leaned her head on her shoulder. Then Chaeng wrapped her arm around her shoulder, bringing Mina closer to her.**

Chaeng: I know you'll take your nap. Besides, Nayeon and I talked earlier.

**Mina pulled herself away from Chaeng to see her profile.**

Mina: Eh? What about?

**Chaeng slid down her arm at Mina's waist, circling her thumb on her side.**

**Mina got distracted by how Chaeng stroke her side. Why does it feel so good? She thought.**

Chaeng: Hmm... She's worried about Jeong. She thinks Jeong has someone else.

Mina: What did you say to her?

Chaeng: That maybe they should talk about it, so she could manage all her worries.

Mina: That's bad. I mean, they're both our friends, so it's kind of difficult to say something.

Chaeng: I know, and I'm afraid I know who's the other person behind it.

Mina: What do you mean?

**Chaeng pulled her arm away from Mina and shifted to her seat so she could face her better.**

Chaeng: Dahyun? I'm not yet sure though. I just realized earlier what's going on. They're too close to each other, and Jeong was just so soft to her.

**Mina nodded, not surprised with what she'd heard.**

Mina: I thought it was only me who noticed that. I saw them last week at the convenience store, and they're acting weird.

Chaeng: Really?

**Chaeng snorted.**

Chaeng: What on earth is going on? Is that how brave they are to do this? I mean, we see each other every single day.

Mina: I know. But we can't blame them. We don't even know the real story. Maybe it's better if we let them deal with it.

Chaeng: But they're our friends. What if it will ruin everything? Besides, Dahyun is my best friend.

Mina: Maybe it's just a phase. We all know Jeong loves Nayeon. Jeong might only be confused with some things.

Chaeng: But Dahyun said Jeong doesn't like Nayeon.

Mina: Hmm... That we don't know. Besides, why don't we worry about ourselves first before them? I thought you have something to tell me?

Chaeng: Hmm... that. I don't know how to say this, but I'm just not sure how to act in front of them. You know, what if they ask questions about us, is it okay to say that we like each other? That we're going out, dating, maybe?

**Mina smiled with the thought that Chaeng was thinking about those things.**

**The thing is, she doesn't care if everyone will know that they're talking or going out. For her at least those girls who keep on flirting with Chaeng would back off.**

Mina: If they ask you if we're going out, I don't mind if you say that we are.

Chaeng: Seriously?

Mina: Hmm...

**She nodded.**

Mina: Seriously. Because I really like you. After last night, I realized I want to do it again. And I felt furious thinking that you'll do it with other girls.

Chaeng: I don't want to do it with someone else.

**She whispered.**

**Mina raised her eyebrow and pouted.**

Mina: Just make sure you won't and we're done.

**Chaeng stroked Mina's arm several times to calm her down.**

Chaeng: Hey! We're not even official yet, and we're already done?

**Mina squinted thinking deeply.**

Mina: Hmm... Do you want to make it official now? I mean, if you say yes there's no more turning back?

**Chaeng smirked. She's having trouble composing the right words to dro that question, but then Mina easily said it without inhibition.**

Mina: Well, it looks like you're not thinking about it yet.

**Then Mina whirled to face the TV, though it's turned off.**

**Chaeng immediately slide in her seat to close their distance and wrapped her right arm against Mina's waist again.**

Chaeng: Of course, I do. Well, it's one of the reasons I asked you to see me tonight, to ask you that. It's just, I'm surprised to hear it from you.

**She said without a pause as if she's doing her rap part in one of their songs.**

Chaeng: And yes... no turning back.
